Annual Budget Development

The Fiscal Year 2021 Approved Budget was adopted by the Assembly May 28, 2020 and is effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021​.  Department directors presented their budget presentations to the Assembly on April 9th, 2020.  See the Budget Presentations section below for copies of each presentation.

Public Hearings on the FY2021 Manager's Proposed Budget were held on April 23rd, 28th,  30th  and May 19th.  Assembly Deliberations were held May 26th and May 28th.  See the Public Meeting calendar on the home page for more details on meeting date locations and times.


Financial​​​ Documents

​The Borough Department of Finance produces several annual publications throughout each fiscal year.  They are the current recipients of the Government Finance Officer Association (GFOA) Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the FY2019 CAFR and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the FY2020 Approved Budget.  See the document sections below for current and previous years' documents.

Budget Documents
The Borough budget is developed each year between December and the third week of April, when the Manager's Proposed Budget is presented to the Assembly.  Public hearings are held throughout the Borough prior to its adoption in May of each year.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR) and ​Citizens' Financial Reports

​​​The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is a thorough and detailed presentation of the Borough's financial condition.  It reports on the Borough's activities and balances for each fiscal year.​
